Applying for a Noble County Marriage License

Both parties must appear together at the Noble County Clerk's office under IC 31-11-4-3. You can start the online pre-application at in.gov/courts/services/marriage-license before your visit. Arriving by 3:30 PM is required to get a marriage license that day. Don't cut it too close to the cutoff time.

Noble County accepts a valid driver's license or birth certificate as your primary ID. If you are not a US citizen, your birth certificate must be translated into English if the original is in another language. Bring the translation with you. Your Social Security number is required on the application. Noble County does not require you to show the card, but you must provide the number.

At least one party must reside in Noble County, or both must be out-of-state residents, to apply here. Applicants under 18 should contact the Noble County Clerk directly, as the office will explain the additional steps needed for minors under IC 31-11-1-4. Prior marriage details must be disclosed per IC 31-11-4-1.

The license is valid for 60 days under IC 31-11-4-10. Indiana has no waiting period. The officiant must return the signed license to the Noble County Clerk within 30 days of the ceremony per IC 31-11-4-18.
